Jacquelyn Fricke 1970's Photo Shoot

Recently I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot with a good friend, Jacqui Fricke! I’ve worked with Jacqui on several shoots and the shoots are always fun and creative. Jacqui has a natural feel for the camera, her movements, poses and facial expressions all make for great looking portraits which definitely make my job easier. I remember the first time I photographed Jacqui, outside an old warehouse in South Philly. As a photographer I’m often directing people to present themselves in a way so that I can capture their beauty, their “good side”, but when Jacqui stood in front of my camera her light was directing me! Jacqui came up with the idea for a shoot styled after the decade of the 1970’s the age of disco, women’s rights and Watergate just to name a few. Jacqui picked out the clothes and I picked the locations. We also got support from Naomi Mosley, our very talented makeup artist. The locations we used were the Girard Ave. Bridge which gives you great views of the Schuylkill River, the 34th st Bridge in Mantua and the historic Uptown Theater in North Philadelphia. I also want to give a shout out to Tina from C&C Auto Sales for the use of their red 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo please visit their website https://www.ccautosales.com/ have a great inventory of classic cars! All of these locations brought a certain feel to the images and combined with Jacqui’s beautiful on camera presence made this one of my favorite shoots! Jessica Libor, Philadelphia Museum of Art

So here we are at the start of 2019 and I’m excited to share details of my first photo shoot of the year! Jessica Libor, a beautiful model from Philadelphia, PA collaborated with me on a photo shoot at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was a cold, windy day outside so we were both eager to start shooting inside the warmth of the museum. After a brief outfit change and the beckoning of a gorgeous sunset we decided to brave the cold and move the shoot outside (actually Jessica braved the cold I was wearing a nice warm coat). Jessica has such a unique style and as you’ll see in the images below, Jessica loves vintage clothing! As a photographer it’s important for me to allow the outfits and location to really help define and influence the style of our shoots. In addition to being a vintage model, Jessica is an accomplished and gifted painter with an extraordinary portfolio of beautiful pieces of artwork. Check out this great artist and you’ll definitely be inspired! www.jessicalibor.com
